GM is an architectural practice founded in 2022.

The practice is committed to the idea of providing a stage where diverse possibilities of life can occur.

GM works on various scales and phases of projects from sketch to realization.
Our approach is idea-driven, responsive to context, and focused on the responsibility of construction in terms of the physical imprint of architecture, taking into account reuse, or future uses of architecture.
GM aims to achieve a high level of quality for each project by working in a collaborative manner, from research to construction.
 

Nur Gayretli graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Architecture Faculty in 2013. With a strong belief that practice and theory should go hand in hand, she completed History, Theory and Criticism in Architecture Masters Programme at Bilgi University in 2016 as an advisee of Prof. Dr. İhsan Bilgin, with a dissertation titled "Confrontations in Dwelling: Houses of Levent Neighbourhood". Her contribution to the artwork called "Out of Istanbul?" by Sinan Logie and Yoann Morvan was exhibited at the MAXXI Museum in Rome. Throughout her career, she took important roles in different scales and types of projects at pioneering design offices in Istanbul, such as TEGET, SML, and MAS. At MAS, "A Place to Be" was awarded the Jury Special Prize by Yapı Kataloğu, and "İzmir University of Economics Campus Project" (MAS-MIMLAB Collaboration, National Competition) was awarded the 1st Prize. She has been lecturing design studios in Medipol University and Bilgi University.

Nur has been bringing her versatile background to Gayretli Mimarlar since 2022.
